Working across cultural and economic divisions can be exciting, rewarding—and challenging. I am an emergency physician, committed to working clinically in with underserved patient groups around the world and understanding of the structural and bioethical issues involved in my work. My research includes substance use disorders in underserved populations and disparities in access to care and end-of-life issues in low-resource settings.
My past experience includes emergency medicine residency training at Brown University and fellowship in Bioethics at Harvard Medical School. I have experience in Ebola crisis response and spent two years in Rwanda working on capacity development.
